A useful tool for optimizing performance through blood analytics. This platform gives you options for testing your biomarkers to determine your personal optimal zones and to show you where you stand in relation to that zone. Each biomarker also indicates nutritional recommendations to better those numbers in addition to how that marker relates to your overall health and performance. Andie first started using InsideTracker when she was feeling fatigued. She was able to correct several problems to recover her season and end it with several PR's. Andie now continues to use it to make sure she is training optimally, not pushing beyond her limits, and to make sure that her body is ready to perform at its best each season. Our recommendation: Testing before each new season and again midway through. Depending on the length of the season a secondary mid-season test couldn't hurt as well as one post season. 

ELLIPTIGO AMBASSADOR

The best in cross training! The elliptigo is an elliptical bike designed to take you out of the gym and into the great outdoors. This bike simulates the running motion better than an indoor eliptical which tends to shorten the stride length. Cardiovasculary, the elliptigo performs better than a regular bike giving you a more all-over body workout and an increased heart-rate. Andie uses the elliptigo in place of secondary runs on days when she is feeling tired. Also great to use during down weeks of training in place of runs and for injury prevention and rehab. PT RECOMMENDATION

Andie has been going to RunRaleigh since 2015 after she qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials and needed help with some plantar fasciitis. RunRaleigh has remained her go to for all injury prevention and treatment needed as an endurance athlete. Andie sees them on a consistent weekly basis and even worked with them rehabbing from a stress fracture in April of 2020. They offer dry needling services, screening for young athletes, 3D Gait Analysis, and VO2 max testing among many more services including strength training for runners. Dr. Michelle Joshua is a Licensed Psychologist in NC, holds the distinction of being a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC), AASP, is listed on the USOPC's Mental Performance Registry, and is on the Board of the Clinical/Counseling Sport Psychology Association (CCSPA). She is a former Division I student-athlete and has 20+ years of experience as a psychologist who specializes in work with high performers in collegiate, professional, and private-practice settings, helping clients achieve their desired results through the development of self-awareness and growth mindset.

She works with adult athletes of all levels, coaches, high-performers, and sport parents (inquire for more on this). Some of the more common concerns she’ll see include:

Chris Newport (MS, RDN, LDN, EP, CISSN) at Endurance Edge is a triathlon coach and performance dietitian. She specializes in working with endurance athletes and even offers sweat testing services to help dial in hydration needs. The endurance edge offers individualized care and attention and delivers evidence based answers to ensure you are getting to the bottom of any fueling issues. Many runners struggle to get adequate nutrition to fuel long runs and workouts. Chris and her team are perfect for addressing those needs! While the Endurance Edge is local in Cary, NC, they offer remote consults and can do at home sweat testing kits.
